5 Effective Ayurvedic Herbs: Memory Enhancer Ayurvedic Medicine

It  has  been  used  to  promote  a  healthy  brain, sharpen  memory, enhance  awareness,  and  increase  self-expression. It is usually combined with ‘Gotu kola’, shankhapushpi, and licorice.
  • Brahmi/Gotu  kola -  It  is widely  considered  a  superior  herb  for  the  nervous  system. Brahmi  supports  healthy  memory, concentration, and  intelligence,  memory enhancer as  well  as  voice, physical  strength, and  the complexion. It  is  taken  in  the  form  of  fresh  juice  or  in  the  form  of  tablets  or  capsules.
  • Bacopa - It is considered a powerful brain food. It supports healthy nervous system, mental energy, and healthy memory. The  traditional  serving  can  be  up  to  2  grams  of  the  whole  herb, in capsules, tablets  or  tea, twice  a day  with  warm  water.
  • Shankhapushpi -  This  herb  is  an  outstanding  rejuvenating  tonic  for  the  mind  and  nerve  tissue. It  is  said  to  have  profound  mystical  properties, with  affinity  for  the  heart, throat, third  eye  and  the  crown  chakras. This herb is especially effective for mental peace and tranquility. It  is  very  beneficial  for  students  as  it improves  focus  and  attention  while  reducing  stress. It  is  usually  taken  in  the  form  of  tonic  or  syrup.
